ATOTK 2.0.6, now in German!


A Tale of Two Kingdoms has been updated to the latest stable version of Adventure Game Studio, 3.6.0 patch 5. This will improve stability on newer computers and compatibility with newer Windows versions. A full list of engine changes can be found here.

Furthermore, the game now has a German translation, courtesy of Brendan Ferreri-Hanberry!

Saved games from 2.0 and up are fully compatible with 2.0.6.

Changes to gameplay:

  • Allow saving game in tutorial area.

  • Fix missing animations while disguised.

  • Enable joypad controls.

  • Fix certain songs not playing properly.

  • Fix GUI fonts in Hungarian translation.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
