I know you may be tired of getting materials around the island, so it would be good for you to get to know the people on the island!
Get a job in this new version and enjoy exploring this island!
Since you will be able to get a job with Lai in next Alpha 3.1.0, you can change jobs at any time, just be aware that your bond with the NPC you have been working for will be reset.
But don't worry, it will reset to the last event you encountered.

I've been working hard to give you a good first look at this new NPC event feature, you'll be able to get a job in their businesses and as you help them, you'll get to know them more! :D
