Auburn has hired former South Florida head coach Alex Golesh to be their new head coach. Golesh will not be coaching South Florida in their bowl game. More below.

2008: Graduate Assistant for Oklahoma State.

2009: Runningbacks Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Toledo.

2010-2011: Tight End Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Toledo.

2012-2013: Tight End Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Illinois.

2014: Tight End Coach/Halfback Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Illinois.

2015: Tight End/Special Teams Coach for Illinois.

2016-2019: Tight End Coach /Recruiting Coordinator for Iowa State.

2020: Co-Offensive Coordinator/Tight End Coach for Central Florida.

2021-2022: Offensive Coordinator/Tight End Coach for Tennessee.

2023-2025: Head Coach for South Florida. Had overall record of 23-15 at South Florida, with two bowl game wins.

2026: Will be head coach for Auburn.
