Finally! This took unbelievably long, mostly because of some complex functions and algorhytms I had to work out. Without further ado, presenting the new features and patches ^^ :
A lot of GUI improvements (new backgrounds, new font, better metronome),
more particles,
a fully functional points system (A-F ratings coming soon)
smoothened player motion (28FPS -> 60FPS),
a dope intro screen and intro song (Star Wanderer),
level statistics & information (attempts, percentage, points, time, etc.),
Settings (finally -.-),
Improved pause menu,
improved editor song preview & playtesting in general,
an awesome dying animation,
Level completion stats & messages,
More yellow dots pulsing with different speeds in the custom song menu,
even more precise pitch shifting for custom songs (0.01% -> 0.001%),
far more efficient trigger management in the editor (CPU wise),
timing coordinates appearing upon adding custom timings in the editor,
more helpful keyboard shortcuts for the editor,
extended mouse support (interactive sliders in the trigger settings and more),
logos and links in the info section,
some minor things I probably forgot about.
a lot of issues related to having the same custom level open simultaneously in multiple slots,
inaccurate window ratio after manual stretching of the window,
gui offset caused by manual stretching,
a lot of incompatibilities between the mouse & keyboard menu navigation,
menu loop pitch affected by the custom songs’ adjusted pitches,
default levels inheriting custom levels’ backgrounds,
the lack of a 3D line on the ground,
white ring present even without any notes to hit,
misguiding editor settings note speed information,
a lot of z layering issues,
progress bar misbehaving when dealing with short levels or custom songs,
total time hour value above 24,
off-sync metronome and rainbow cycles,
inaccurate accuracy (lol ironic),
issues related to levelnames containing “#”,
buggy trigger transitions,
background 5’s glitchy offset,
player desynchronizing with the notes and music after continuous motion,
other minor glitches.
So yeah, as you can see, it’s been busy 2 months for me. I probably could’ve done all of this much quicker if the school wasn’t such a bother, but oh well, what can I do, I’m not willing to give up on my grades completely ;-; I’m aware that there are still some details in need of fixing, so I will release a small patch probably around the next week. Until then, enjoy what you have now. The To Do List.txt’s length went from around 100 lines of text to 200 during those 2 months, so again, a lot has been added and a lot has been planned for the future. Thanks fellas, see y’all next time ;)
