We are happy to see that many of you have been playing our Demo and want to thank everyone for their feedback.
Based on this feedback as well as some things we were working on we are pleased to announce we just released version 0.4.0 of the demo with quite a few updates. A short list of the updates below:
we introduced the complete story elements for the levels in the demo [story pages and lore elements]. In our previous demo builds there were only small lore snippets available;
the lore delivery system was overhauled and now lore pieces found during gameplay no longer automatically appear on the UI but are stored and can be accessed by the player at any time. There is a visual cue for new lore acquired by the player;
we decided Loremaster Tuck was so annoying to players we replaced him completely … with a God … that looks like a dead guy;
We introduced some new visual cues for key actions in the game to make them more visible to players;
Our initial intention for the demo was to be as accessible as possible and so the difficulty of the levels was tuned on the low end both in design and enemies’ composition and behavior. Based on received feedback and playthrough videos we discovered it was quite lower than intended so have made a few adjustments to bring the demo closer to the feeling and difficulty the final game will have, so expect a little more challenge in completing the demo than before.
