Based on what very little research we have done and feedback we've gotten, we are starting to realize that our dumb puzzles aren't just dumb, but also, in fact, difficult. So here's a walkthrough for our game. [SPOILERS!!!]


Well, just in case you didn't read that carefully enough: THIS IS [SPOILER] TERRITORY!

But if you just want to breeze through the game and see the ending, here's how you do it:

First, call your wife, Samantha. (Use the PHONE in your inventory - go into saved numbers (middle button) - click "Samantha")

Ask her about everything. Once you've asked her where the spare key is, you can proceed into the storage room (turn RIGHT, then go through the doorway).

See the weird object slightly hidden behind the toboggan? That's a COUGH CATCHER™ PROTOTYPE. Pick it up.

Turn right. Approach the tiny bureau. Open the poker set and take the BLUE NOTE and the TINY TAPE. Open the left door of the bureau and take the DICTAPHONE. Combine the TINY TAPE and DICTAPHONE to hear your wife talk about some dude named Bob. (Note: The tape and the dictaphone are optional.)

Read the BLUE NOTE. There's a phone number hidden in the mess of numbers near the bottom. What you have to do is to discard every number that's repeated more than once. That leaves you with 515-6898. Use your PHONE to dial that number.

Talk to Det. Johnson. Ask him about everything. It doesn't matter if you "lie" or "tell the truth," we just put that in for flavor.

Now go back into the hallway (turn LEFT until you reach it). Bob should, um, appear. Scream at Bob (option "AAAARGGGHH"); he'll send you on a quest for his case file.

Call Det. Johnson again (he should be in your saved numbers now). Tell him you've seen a ghost - he'll hang up on you.

Go back into the storage room. Go to the suitcase on the far right screen and look at it. Read the AIRPORT TAG that says the suitcase has been in Copenhagen.

Call Det. Johnson up and ask for the case file. He'll say he needs conclusive evidence. Tell him you have conclusive evidence and ask him if Bob ever went to Copenhagen.

After Det. Johnson hangs up, wait a short while and the case file should arrive. Read it by clicking on the PHONE and selecting "Read case file."

Once you've read it, go back to the suitcase and try to "unlock" the lock. Enter the digits "1-1-4" (Bob's birthdate) (Press ENTER every time you've entered a digit) and then click "unlock."

With the suitcase open, pick up the SEVERED HAND and the BATTERIES.

Put the BATTERIES in the COUGH CATCHER™ PROTOYPE.

While we're here, back away from the suitcase and look inside the BUCKET. Pick up the NAPKINS in the bucket and the FORK lying next to the bucket.

Now, go back in the hallway and talk to Bob. Bob fucks off without helping you because he's a dick like that.

Call Dr. Rifkin on your phone. Tell him your wife is a killer. When he says you're imagining things, show him the severed hand. He'll tell you you're a hypochondriac like Bob.

Now call your wife, Samantha. You can either chicken out or try to turn her in. (If you haven't shown Dr. Rifkin the severed hand, you don't get this choice, and we really like the "chicken out" part - Alice really played this part beautifully - so please do us this one favor and check it out.)

The end-game timer begins. YES, there is a timer! Save your game!

Go to the back of the hallway (which is just a brick wall). Use the FORK on the brittle wall. INHALE the annoying dust cloud. Blow your nose in the NAPKIN. Use the USED NAPKIN on the COUGH CATCHER™ PROTOTYPE.

Now go back to the fuse box (turn LEFT from the wall). Use the LOADED COUGH CATCHER™ on the fuse box. Stick the FORK in the exposed circuits to open the door.

You're free! You win!

Good god, writing out the solution makes it seem that much more silly. :)
