Battle Blimp 0.2.0!

Battle Blimp version 0.2.0 is here!

Update includes:

  • A sorry attempt at a background (I don’t know how to draw clouds!)

  • Options when starting a game

    • The game starts with the control scheme and two buttons. This portion was originally on a timer, but that has been removed. Now you can spend any length of time you need to get used to the controls.

    • The “Play Practice” button will begin a practice wave where the basic enemy “Spike Mine” will spawn with few and far between. Once the player defeats 5 Spike Mines, the game will begin.

    • The “Play Game” button will begin the game without the tutorial.

  • Removed the bug that caused only the Spike Mine to spawn when starting a new game.

  • Revamped the waves so the first few waves shouldn’t be too easy and the later waves aren’t too difficult. It appears that people only get to waves 10 through 15, mostly. There’s only 25 waves programmed into the game, with wave 25 stuck on loop throughout the rest of the game. When this game is complete, there’ll be 100 waves! A difficulty curve like this would definitely help in the future.

Please let me know what other types of background elements should be in the game, as well as ideas for future enemies (I’ve got plenty, but I’m curious to see what you guys think!) If you’ve got any feedback, leave that down in the comments section below and/or on the game’s page and I will see you all on the next update with more to give!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
