Muppy Muddington Tale

Been trying to set up some character interactions, specifically with Dark's("not") girlfriend : Mayor Light! Also Progress Report 2 Also added ear mittens to Dark's design.

This is some very W.I.P Dialog for the introduction of Dark's girlfriend Lightest Gust(also nicknamed Light, or Lighty Whitey), who is the Mayor of the small, cold town of "Village o' Icensnow" which is near the cave Dark found Todd in before MTB:TDOW is located(as well as the previously unnamed snow world).

Also felt like I should include a progress report

Story: %10 done. A near complete outline of the events the story will take have been formed, as well as locations and a slight bit of how the world building will work, but beyond that(and one or two interactions), it is very much a work in progress.

Artwork: %0.5 done. All NPCs for Bunzilvale(the forest & farm) world have been drawn and sprited, as well as a fair bit of concept art done for most of the mains for quite awhile now. I had more, but a lot of it is on my old laptop(which has a broken screen) and while I previously set it up to remote in so I can back the stuff up, I ended up giving up trying to do so because it was super slow and hadn't got around to finding an HDMI to hook it back to the TV.

Character Writing %80 done. The beef of what I've done with this so far is try and redefine some of the more "flat" characters, as well as create new ones.

Everything else is still the same as last post.

I'm going to try to get a new demo out soon, the prologue is roughly %75 complete, it's technically beatable other than boss fights, bonus levels, the sub area, and some cutscenes, it really needs some major touch ups though(especially Heatway Desert).

Alright, got things flowing a little better already, still obviously very early but overall starting to shape up really well IMO.

Progress is going smoothly once again, my attempts at animating the cutscenes are still...not good, but I am learning.

So apparently GMS2 has a sequence editor. I stopped using it after 1.4, so I was unaware of that so I've been trying to animate frame by frame. I pulled an all nighter trying to re animate the first few cutscenes, this was the result. Still VERY W.I.P.!

I met Charles Martinet(former voice of like %99 of the Mario cast) today!

Thinking of trying for more of a 2.5d style, only major issues is that slopes are a pain in the butt to do, and I'll have to rework most(if not all) of the original code since the demo(which I'll have to do anyways), and the cutscenes will be harder to do

I was originally going to do the prologue section last, since the original plan was that it would a remake of MTB:TDOW but I changed most of the plot and gameplay so I decided to do it first plus it stands on its own anyways. So anyways here is a teaser!

Today is the "Muppy The Bunny" series 10th Anniversary! Honestly, it's less of a series up until now, and more so weird experiments and concepts strung together on impulse disguising itself as a series. Thanks to everyone who's supported me throughout!

Wanted to draw something in a(slightly) higher resolution style compared to my normal drawings, so I drew Lilly. Tried to capture a Paper Mario esque vibe with it, and I'm really proud of how it came out!

Concept art for the first mini boss Ally Gater, I really like how she turned out.
