Confronting the Master
After climbing the stairs, the heroes came face to face with the man that captured Paula. Mr. Carpainter is his name, and he stared hopefully at the heroes.
"Ah, I've been expecting you," he starts, "I know you’ve come here to defeat me, but I assure you, there is no need for violence. Instead, I have a proposition: Join me, and help me make the world blue. The whole happy earth will be ours!
(I’ll give you 10% of the profits, and 3 square meals a day!) What do you think? Will you join me as my right-hand assistants?"
Three of the heroes immediately refuse the idea. Cyrus says nothing, and instead steps up to Mr. Carpainter and sticks a knife to chest.
"Tell us where the girl is," he orders fearlessly.
Mr. Carpainter smirks and answers, "Past the Lilliput Cavern, but you'll never reach her. It's far too dangerous for the likes of you to cross."
Cyrus moves the blade away from Mr. Carpainter's chest, turns to walk away, but suddenly turns and stabs him in the side! Mr. Carpainter gives out a yell and speaks, "You miserable wretches! Your very existence is a problem to my religion. Begone!!"
And with that last word, Mr. Carpainter raises his paint brush above him and a loud BANG sounds. Lightning comes crashing down on the adventurers and they're knocked right out of the window!
They fall to the ground outside the front door. The entrance and the window above them both slam shut and lock. The heroes get up and begin venturing north to Lilliput Cavern.
