The game is NOT cancelled!
NOTHING about the game itself is changing!
This is NOT about Orange as a game, but about Orange devlogs.
Cutting to the chase, you all can see we're clearly struggling with the bi-weekly devlogs. That's not secret, last one was 20 days ago, that's a lot!
Now this needs to be addressed, and we're doing it right now! But this also needs to be fixed, so what're we doing?
Getting rid of the thing all-together! Expect no more bi-weekly updates from us ever again, if you held on to that hope for the last month or two of silence.
So what're we doing? Well, as mentioned previously, we've been quiet for a long time. So what's up with that? 2 things:
Real life comes first. We've both been busy as always, and we *are* only two people.
There's nothing to show! We *have* been working on Orange whenever we can but, there's nothing worth showing.
We don't think anybody would like to read a devlog composed entirely of screenshots of code, or talking about a single bug that took us two weeks to fix that we couldn't progress without addressing.
Game making is a boring process most of the time. And we don't want to force ourselves to write, or you to read a boring article about it.
But what are we doing to replace the devlogs then? Can't just leave you all in the dark. 2 words:
Content. Drops.
What this means is that every now and then, when we feel like we're ready, we'll release a big article that contains a lot of content. Time between drops can be days, weeks, or months, depending on the amount of content produced in that time.
This of course doesn't mean that for those in-between periods we'll be completely silent, no no. We'll share short videos, drawings, messages, announcements. Just not periodically.
That's about it, see you all soon! ;)
