Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on, well, a future update!

As you all know, we're soon releasing an Early Access version of the game. I gave two dates one September and one Christmas 2025. September was a month ago, and unfortunately I had too much on my plate at the time to do any releasing. So onwards to Christmas, I suppose!

I did want to let you guys in on one of the things coming up in the next update, and that is a bookshelf update. For those who haven't played around with bookshelves before or don't remember, bookshelves can be examined for one of two things: books and items. When selecting "Pick a random book", the player can read a random page from a random book, which will help in learning about the world around you. The second option, "Search", allows the player to search behind and between the books to look for an item.

Before, the bookshelves that had items were predetermined, and the items themselves were predetermined as well. This is no longer the case.

I recently started experimenting with a new way to work item searches, and it works in a similar fashion to how the books are chosen! Implementing a random variable number choice, players can now find different items and money in the shelves, no matter which shelf it is. Furthermore, a prioritization system has been added to check on the player's wellbeing. As an example, if anyone in the party is poisoned, you now have a 100% chance of gaining an Antidote. If the party leader's health is below 30%, a Potion is 100% available to you. There will be finer tuning down the line, but for now, this is coming out nicely!

There's many MANY more things on the way, and I can't wait to share them with you. As an example, I just learned recently how to check the average LUK of the entire party. Who knows, that might be something interesting down the line!
