I reverted back to the old IDE because there were too many problems arising. Borderless window is gone, the map load times are stuttery again but at least its stable.

If you are continously getting the “map file mismatch” error, you probably need to delete the Maps folder that was rebelliously created in the B-Man Appdata folder by Game Maker.

To do this, open the Start Menu and enter %localappdata% into the search bar and press enter. Or enter this into the Run window and press enter. In the window that opens, open the BoringManGame folder, and delete the Maps folder inside. Error should now go away.
