Briar is Back in development!


these past few weeks I've been in a bad state personally. and just thinking about Briar just brought more self doubt about working on it and what people will think of it

but! after replaying it a few times, I've found the story and voice acting is not as cringe as I thought. I've finally got the motivation to keep working on it again.

no matter what, there will always be someone saying your project is cringe, its just the internet I suppose

Regardless I'm very happy to resume progress and finally bring the game to you all! I'm not gonna let 6 years in development be for nothing ^w^

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.

Digging through an old hard drive I found an early Build of Briar.

the difficulty is INSANE! only 3 hits, no wall climbing, bosses are extremely tough, and every cutscene and level had music I made. . .alas, the sound loops I used were copyrighted
