Ahoy butt-em-up battlin’ buddies.
We recently updated our multiplayer demo with all the luxuries of polish, performance, UX and gameplay improvements from our main development version of the game, plus we added new maps from the new region Dusty Desert!
With new features and performance updates come sneaky bugs:
It turns out version v0.5.0 had a cheeky little bug for some users based around how the game stored save data. The issue caused all underpant-brawling fun to stop before it had a chance to start, with users stuck in the character select screen. Luckily a dedicated Brief Battles player altered us to the issue and we quickly got a v0.5.1 fix out.
Apologies to anyone who encountered the issue! The issue is unique to the demo version of the game, but it’s helped us keep an eye out for tricky things that can happen with save files for the full version of the game. We’re thankful for the GameJolt community helping us out here to report issues like this that we don’t encounter locally.
If you ever encounter any issues with Brief Battles, let us know via the issue reporting form at briefbattles.com/feedback and we’ll be forever thankful!
Another update on the way:
If you only have one game controller lying around but you’re keen to play Brief Battles with a friend, we’ll be including keyboard support for 1 player in an upcoming major version of the Brief Battles demo! Keep your peepers-peeled for this!
May your butt reign supreme
