BTCCW Devlog 4/7/2025

Introduction

BTCCW has been doing great so far. Right now, I’m redoing some cutscenes, re-rendering certain elements, and fixing some things. The game progression has reached 75% so far. Now let's start this Devlog.

BTCCW is Bloody Brutal

BTCCW will feature blood and gore, but not in the traditional 8-bit minigame style. This time, it's all fully 3D-rendered cutscenes. BTCCW is raising the stakes in a big way this time around. We’re going to witness things that are outright brutal things we’ve never seen in a FNaF game before.

William M. Afton is outright vile, yet an interesting character in BTCCW.

William's character in this, along with his interaction with "The MimicTrap," is genuinely intriguing. We get flashbacks to his killings and a deeper look into his psyche, and the story doesn’t shy away from showing the brutal nature of his actions revealing why this version of William is even worse than we imagined. Honestly, I like to compare him to Art the Clown. They’re similar in how they act, but their motives are completely different and they both act differently in terms of their personalities.

When Henry said that badass line at the end of FNaF 6 "Don’t keep the devil waiting, old friend" it hits perfectly. At this point, William is basically the devil incarnated

BCE was more ambiguous as it set up the sequel for BTCCW and LTD

BCE was more ambiguous, mainly because it was technically my first coded game. We had to keep things simple, but still bring something unique to the gameplay. With BTCCW, the story will take a much more prominent role, while the gameplay just like before will stay unique. That’s the direction for all future Psycho Games titles. Each game will have its own distinct tone, vibe, and gameplay style.

BTCCW will also expand upon the trauma experienced by other characters, diving deeper into their backstories and emotional struggles.

Pretty much all the characters in BTCCW will be dealing with some form of trauma or emotional struggle—even William himself, which is interesting in its own right. I won’t say what he's going through, though. You’ll just have to theorize what it could be.

Basically, we’ll be exploring the trauma of new characters alongside the already familiar ones from the OG FNaF games expanding on how William impacted so many lives, even in cases where he wasn’t directly involved.

We will see William Afton as a 3D Human model?

We will see the first ever 3D Model of Human William M. Afton.

Yep, we will see him, the original version of William when he was once a human full on.

UCN actually takes place after BTCCW as it exists at the same time as LTD?

So, when does UCN take place? You’d expect it to happen after FNaF 6 and during BCE, right? Actually, no. UCN takes place at the same time as LTD. So, it overlaps with LTD, which technically makes it an “equel.” I’ll explain the term "equel" in the next segment below.

FNAF 6 and BCE actually takes place at the same time

So basically, these two games take place at the same time. I’m not sure if there’s an official term for that, but instead of calling it a sequel or prequel, I’m going with "equel." New terms are always being made, so why not? We’ve got requel movies, so this feels just as valid. The same idea applies to UCN and LTD as well.

And if you’re wondering why things were going completely haywire during BCE Night 5 it’s because the FNaF 6 ending is happening as you’re playing that night.

Some might ask, "Wait, does FNaF 6 take place during the morning or the afternoon? Since FNaF 6 doesn’t give a specific time only that it only gives you the days we could reasonably conclude that Michael Afton finishes his shift at 12:00 AM. This means, depending on when he started, his shift in FNaF 6 could have begun as early as 7 PM. While there isn’t a strict time system in the game (since the shift only ends when all tasks are completed), the fact that FNaF 6 on Saturday is notably hard suggests it took Michael some time to finish his shift. So I thought it would be cool to make this choice storywise judging how BTCCW has the return of William.

This also means BCE Night 5 Takes place during a Saturday.

Prize Corner will be added to BTCCW but it will be unique

Yep, the "Prize Corner" or "Collectables," or however it’s referred to will be featured in the game. Each night, you’ll unlock something new that you can interact with. But that’s all I’m saying for now. You'll love it.

BTCCW Final Night, the finale will be absolutely insanity as you will face 40+ animatronics?

Yep, that’s right you’ll face off against 40+ animatronics. The lineup will include the BTCCW gang, the BCE gang, the Misfits gang, and the Toy Animal Gang (as we got a sneak peek of Toy Circus Bear in BCE). And, of course, William will join the chaos alongside The MimicTrap. Also lets not forget. The Saw Clown Gang. It's about to get crazy!

Thanks for reading.
