Hello everyone!
I have some bad news. As you may have noticed, I didn’t post a weekly update last week. Sadly this was because I had zero time to work on the game :/ And sadly this week was no different. I’m really busy with school and work at the moment so I just don’t have time. I’m really sorry for this, but I thought you should know.
Sadly there ain’t much to tell here. But I’ll try :)
First of all, I would like to mention that you can follow me on twitter @jmastaa. This way you will also be updated with smaller updates on the game, and other things game-related.
Now the shameless advertising is over, I think I should tell you the little things I did do this week.
Remember that Dialogue editor, that I have said was complete multiple times already. Well it now is! I made it a lot easier for me to add choices and even variables in to the mix. I added the option to add subdialogues in subdialogues. Which wasn’t possible at first. What does this mean, you might ask. Well it comes down to the fact that I can now easily create expansive Dialog trees. Where every option you pick brings you to a different line of dialogues.
The variables option I added makes it really easy to make conditional dialogue. This means that you could get different sentences if you did something, well… eh different. For example: If your karma is high and people like you, you will get other conversations than when you have a low karma and people don’t like you.
So that’s the stuff I did. It was a lot of coding, and I’m really glad it works properly now!
Anyway I’m sorry for this kinda rushed/empty post. The next weekly update will be a lot better again. I just don’t have much time at the moment :/
I’m also not sure if I can update you next week. I won’t post anything if I don’t have anything to talk about.
