Calenture: The Card Game

Interesting and unexpected news on the Calenture-horizon:

We’re making Calenture into a card game!

Rather suddenly and unexpectedly, we realized that the mechanics of Calenture would work better in a social card game, and thus we’ve initiated the design process for such a game. Since we have other, and higher prioritized commitments (the post-launch support for Cosmic Kites, among others), we don’t really have a time plan, or even a scope really, for the game. But we’ve been gazing longingly at the board-/card game scene for quite some time, so we’ll definitely continue working on this one as soon as possible!

Our one current plan is to make a Tabletop Simulator-version of the game, in order to experiment with the mechanics as well as do some early playtesting. And who knows, we might involve some of the lovely people here on GameJolt in this initial playtesting? Leave us a comment if you’re into card games, and might be interested in trying the game once we make it available!

Anyhow, this wasn’t really a planned update so excuse me for any potential rambling. ‘Til the next time guys!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

I was bored, so... ManutKat.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Regular exercise is key for healthy wings.

Try it out!

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.
