canon


Been seeing some recent discussions about UTY and how canon it is to UT. It's not and it shouldn't have to be. If there are certain parts of UTY that you view canon for your headcanon, then that's cool!

The great thing about UT is that it purposefully leave things unanswered, allowing for people to come up with their own AUs and takes as to what happened before and after. UTY is a take on a yellow soul story. It's not trying to be canon, it's just trying to tell a story. If you can't enjoy the game, or any fangame for that matter, cause it's not canon to UT, then you may need to rethink your priorities cause you'll find that restricting yourself to be as close to UT as possible is a lot more difficult than it seems and is, ultimately, pointless. It's why I'm not even trying to be canon with True Geno.

TLDR; Enjoy fangames for what they are, not whether they can tie into an official story or not

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
