Changing things and scrapping others


I won't beat around the bush and be honest with you all. I've not been working on the game at all these past few months. I know this will be a huge disappointment to all of you who were excited to see the game come out soon but the drive to be creative or even work on this project just died as it did with other endeavours sadly.

Over Xmas it came to a head where I realised that if I don't just up and cancel it I'll be leaving you all hanging and will have wasted my own time in trying to make it rather than just leaving it in limbo and uploading the spites for others to use on DeviantArt. So I gave myself that time to consider if I wanted to continue or not.

I do want to make one thing abundantly clear:

I'm just starting again. The story I had come up with previously just doesn't work anymore and I'm just not passionate about it either. I let it lie too long so all of Mark's wonderful projects have changed the landscape of some of the egos so it felt very hard to incorporate that new material into this version of the story since it's supposed to be a love letter to nearly ALL the egos of the channel.

But regardless, in short I'm starting nearly from scratch. Most of the maps and all the sprites I've made will still be used but I'm going to go back through all the ego videos and try to come up with another story that won't just be a history lesson and will actually be a fun game.

So apologies to all those who followed this game recently expecting it to be out soon and those who have been around for a while. I've disappointed you but I hope to earn back your enthusiasm and get this game done at last.

Next up

Things are progressing nicely in terms of me getting back into the actual game making. Mark's explanatory livestream yesterday was most enlightening and shall prove useful when adding the events of Damien into the game. Until then here's pixel Actor Mark!

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
