Inspired by retro and modern classics...

• 'What if Super Castlevania IV was a Metroidvania?' this is what I asked myself which lead to me creating Lone Fungus 2.

• The equipment system/sub-weapons in Lone Fungus 2 was primarily inspired by Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, it's also the first Metroidvania I ever played and it's very dear to my heart.

• Lone Fungus 1 was largely inspired by Hollow Knight and it's influence is still present in the sequel. It's a modern masterpiece and a staple of great Metroidvania design.

• A lot of the platforming aspects are directly inspired by Celeste, even though the second game will be a bit less of a hardcore platformer.

• Morrowind is my absolute favorite game of all time and a lot of the story and worldbuilding in Lone Fungus 2 is directly inspired by some of Morrowinds amazing lore and story.

There is of course many other titles that I also take inspiration from, after all the game features a very Super Mario World like climbing system, Megaman styled enemy design and a bit of a Zelda-like atmosphere at times."
