Colony: Zero Devlog Update #3

Hey Everyone!

Development has been going swimmingly in Unity. Naturally, there have been some growing pains as we grow accustomed to the new development environment. Despite these, we have made great progress finding faster and more efficient ways to make our vision for the game come to fruition. This will certainly result in fewer compromises than we would have encountered continuing to use GameMaker Studio.

Currently, we have managed to recreate the fundamental aspects of our world generation. We’ve outlined all of the pieces we intend to additionally implement, and don’t foresee any problems achieving some great playing procedurally generating maps.

We have also been revising our goals for the core gameplay. Don’t expect many major deviations from our original outline, but we will update you soon with our revised vision. Rest assured, this process hasn’t been about making compromises, so much as making improvements that we believe will enhance the replay-ability and overall enjoyment of Colony: Zero once it is in your hands.

Thank you again for all your support, until next time!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
