After 3 months of work (more or less), the storyboard of the comic is now done!
It is currently 74 pages long, which is a bit more than I expected. Some scenes need to be tweaked and I might rewrite some stuff, but it feels great being able to finally see the project as a whole.
There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, but having a solid base is definitely encouraging.
I am now moving on to concept art. Even though I've already defined a design for each character in the storyboard, I want to do some more iterations, see how far I can push them! (plus, most of the current environments are pretty dull, so I definitely need to rework them)
Once that's out of the way, I'll be able to start the tedious process of drawing every single page. The plan is to sketch and ink them traditionally, and then add the colors digitally. If I manage to keep a good pace, then I might be done sometimes next year (probably around Summer).
There's some contractual stuff I need to figure out to get it released (I'm intending a physical release if possible), but I need some more content before I can make a decent folder to send to a publishing company.
If the physical release doesn't happen (which is a possibility), I'll most likely turn it into a webcomic.
I'll try to keep you guys updated.
See ya!
