And Rather than the shoes' anchient technology breaking, it would instead remain locked in place, making it impossible for sonic to move or be free. Overtime, Sonic's Body would begin to be covered in Nature, Flowers, vines, etc. and Sonic would be trapped in a forever still position. purgatory, not being able to die or move forward. no one to help him. trapped. permanently.
