(COTL): Reviewing all Boss fights: Easy Difficulty

Leshy:

  • Leshy's fight was one of my first favorites in COTL. He is a very intimidating, and I love the aggression he displays at the end of his fight. He's scary, his mouth is bloody and the most aggressive out of all the Bishops. COTL starts the game off really well with his fight. Its the first boss the player comes up against, the player dosen't know what to expect, and it makes it even more fun with so much uncertainty in the fight.

  • One of the main things I love about all the boss fights, especially Leshy's, is how huge they are in comparison to the Lamb. You can see the distance and height between the bosses and the Lamb, which puts more emphasis on the scare factor of the fight. Personally, Leshy, Heket and Shamura, are the only ones that showed that factor.

    Heket:

  • The only female bishop along with being the second youngest, Heket's fight was a really well done fight. She uses her minions at her disposal, along with being very scary at her fight. Also, a really nice character design.

    Kallamar and Shamura:

  • I can give the same review to Shamura as I did with Heket and Leshy, but Kallamar's fight was one of the weakest out of all the bishops. Despite the fact that he is a cowardly character, he wasn't intimidating and you can see the scare factor wasnt there, unlike the other bishops.

The One Who Waits and his followers, Aym and Baal :

  • I was honestly disappointed with this fight. With all three of them. They were relatively too easy. Aym and Baal only lasted for a few seconds. You would think as the last boss, it would be the most epic, the most challenging, and difficult to the point of even needing to redo a fight if you had the chance, but nope, that is not what i experienced with this fight.

  • The fight time wise was really short too. From a recent recording I did, I was only fighting him for 4 minutes. Meanwhile, the other bishops not only took a lot longer but the only fights that I actually had to redo were Heket and Shamura.

  • The battle music was amazing, I was intrigued by it and The One Who Waits had a crazy scary design, especially with his second form. His look was really nice, but it got crushed with the easy boss fight he had. I hope when I explore the game further in the different difficulty levels, that there at least would be a little more challenge with this fight, all of the bishops were harder to defeat then these three combined.
