proof: in the trailer he asks a female doctor to preform an appendectomy and when she says no he says "but im a man" and "can i talk to a real doctor?"
then he dismiss her when he sees another doctor and he says "there HE is! doctor!"
if the barbie world and the promotional images are anything to go by, barbies (women) being doctors is the default, so gender shouldn't play a part, infact it should be more strange to him that there are male doctors around bc in barbie world kens dont have jobs
and i did find the job comment in a different clip a lil strange too, in the barbieworld where ken says "you know surfer is not even my job, and its not lifeguard which is a common misconceptions" "actually my job is just beach" this feels like some sort of foreshadowing where he wants to be more than that
and the heavy marketing of "he's just ken" kinda makes me believe that as well
also someone said there was a sign that said "kendom" instead of "barbieworld" and im not sure if that's true or not but keep that in mind
personally i dont want this theory to be true bc ken loves barbie so much and i dont want him to start going andrew tate on us :((( pls let it be just him trying to apply the logic of the real world to not seem suspicious or something but i feel like he'll try to take over barbie world
that or it'll be black haired ken that does it if he ever follows them to the real world, i feel like he's appearing in to many clips to be just a random background character thats only around to establish that blonde ken is jealous or something
all in all, excited to see the barbie movie and see how it tackles subjects like misogyny, toxic masculinity, and all that stuff (and nervous to watch it w my somewhat sexist parents that wont get the theme of the movie or the references to what the barbie world is like, and will assume its trying to push a narrative that women are better than men and that men should be househusbands like ken)
