Cybob: The Beginning updated to 1.1.0 with many changes and improvements.


Changelog of Cybob: The Beginning 1.1.0:

  • Corrected grammars. Please let me know if there’s still grammar mistakes, i’m not a native English speaker :(.

  • Added a fast forward button in battle screen.

  • Reworked all weapons.

  • Balanced all enemies.

  • Your salary and reward increased after each win at the arena.

  • Battle fee removed. (The Arena had enough moneys from selling their tickets :D)

  • Now you can mute the music by pressing the lamp.

  • An easter egg in your room.

One year ago, i finished and submited this game to a C2 contest. Everytime i looked back at it, i can’t help but feeling embarrassing, because this game is total incompleted, i had a bigger plan for it back then. And of course, this game didn’t win any prize.

So i’m very surprise because Cybob: The Beginning have more than 10,000 plays on Newground, i guess this game must have something good in it, but i didn’t try to improve it or anything, because i still think it’s a big failure.

What missed are: storyline, more characters, RPG elements, abilities…
I knew i can do that, but i didn’t have enough “fire”.

Some months ago, i drew the concepts for a rebooted version of Cybob, it’s even bigger than before. I felt that i’m still not ready for a big game like that. So my current plan is:

  • Making Cybob: The Beginning become a more stable game.

  • Finish another small simulation game (i will share information about this game soon).

  • Keep improving the concept of the new Cybob.
