D. 1337, the final boss

The final boss is always the hardest concept to come up with in an RPG. When the story is simply about beating the crap out of your foe, the boss can be almost easy yo come up with. But in Subworld I have created a a world were every self aware fictional character has a defined purpose, whether create or something they have determined themselves. D. 1337 is a truly terrifying concept for me as his very purpose is the lack of it. Confused? Well imagine a creature of pure negativity, not so much evil or darkness, but purely driven almost insane by it’s lack of purpose. Caught between a limbo state of existing and being denied existence.

D 1337 exists, if one could actually use exist as a word to describe him, in the non-lands, between the fortress that holds the mysterious author prisoner and the lands of Subworld, with the gangly and monstrous D. 1337 holds domain. In order to reach the Author, the player must first travel these lands, where no fictional dare tread, and face the horrors of a land filled with deleted characters and the horrific creature that presides over them.

And yes there is no picture here as, well…. why spoil the surprise?
