Day 149: Okay, today was a short one too. But I reached the beta milestone early, so I’m at peace with my conscience. I’m so at peace, that this intro will only be two lines long.
Daily interesting stuff:
Tasks done:
Got my interview with Ubisoft. That was really stressing. But mainly before actually passing it. After, that it went much better. They were really relaxed and overall it went well. Now, I’m still not convinced I’ll get to the next stage. But at least I went through an interview and that’s always good experience. I won’t say much about the interview itself because I signed an NDA and I’m taking it seriously (plus who knows if you’re not an HR from Ubisoft reading this?).
Tested a new ship spritesheet. I’m pretty ashamed to say this, but I took way too long before getting to do this. It wasn’t long or hard to do. Just I had a lot of stuff going on in these past days. But I did it anyway. And I gave the feedback I thought of to the artist. Oh, and I can say that new ships look so much cooler than the stock graphics I’ve been using!
Cleaned my old laptop. Since I’m showcasing the game in a an event mid april, I really need to clean this old dusty computer. It’s horribly slow and has like 500mo free on the system disk… So I wiped it out and re-installed windows. Normally there’s a tool to do all that automatically, but it just said “unknown error”, so I had to do it manually. Oh and before that, I did a backup of my files. That was a great trip through memory lane. I saw all my old (and horrible) game projects. That was a lot of fun, and also a lot of cringe.
