More Reboot Content???
As you saw last time, we showed off Kris's finished lightworld sprite sheet. This time, here’s Ralsei’s new official sprite sheet! Maybe next time we’ll show off Susie’s, who knows?
Art
Our artists have been cooking up some beautiful art, as always. We can’t show all of it obviously, for story reasons, but enjoy some legend concept art from @daymations
Writing
Writing has been moving along nicely, with only a few disagreements here and there. We’ve fleshed out many characters and elaborated on their personality and background. But that's not all that you wanna hear, is it? Here are some early lines of dialogue we have for a brand new scene taking place in the cliffs.
S: W- What the hell is going on??
S: (Shoot kris, It’s the guy from earlier!)
L: Wow, you lightners really are as gullible as dad said!
S: W- Who are you??
L: Hahaha! Wouldn’t you two idiots like to know!
L: …
L: So I’ll tell you!
L: The name’s Lancer! But you can call me the bad guy!
S: …
S: We’re not calling you that.
L: Your loss!
L: Anyway, if you two could just sit tight while I call in my troops, that would be great!
We can’t explain too much without revealing the whole thing, but just know that it will make for a fun addition to the typical cliffs
Spriting
Spriting has slowed a bit as we’ve switched to mainly coding and writing as our primary focus. For now, take these new dialogue sprites for reboot susie.
Music
Adding on to our current collection, today you all get 2 songs!! We will most likely try to put them in order once all the chapter 1 songs are done.
Coding
We’ve been experimenting a bit recently and have decided on new backgrounds for battles. In a similar style to Undertale Yellow, battles will be different depending on the area you’re in. Here are some examples.

Aaaaand we’re at the end for now. Don’t worry tho, we’re switching up our schedule! The team decided it would be better to have monthly devlogs instead of seasonal ones, just so we can keep you guys more updated. With that, have a great month, and we’ll see you all in August!
