Deltexperiment Progress Update - 3/9/2024


-Introduction-

Managed to get enough stuff out to warrant another progress update (mainly the release of the v2.0.1 patch). I don't have a really catchy quip to say here, so I'll get to the point.


-Addressing The Unseen Elephant-

Before I get into the progress notes and all that, I want to address something before it becomes a common question. No, these progress updates will not be a weekly pattern. I will only make them if I have enough progress to warrant one. But I will make one exception. I will try to post one bi/triweekly on worst case scenario so you at least get SOME form of an update. As someone who waits for content just like you do, I don't like to get left in the dark. And by keeping to a bi/triweekly pattern at worst, I feel like I'm preventing that. But anyway, onto what you came here for.

-Extra Notes-

Shown here, most of my efforts have been going into working on the game's second alternate route. I'm not gonna say a finalized release date (mainly because I need to get something from the game's spriter for the alternate route, along with still having to deal with several bugs), but it should most likely release by the end of the month.


-v.2.0.1 Updates-

Exactly what's on the cover. Here's a list of everything that was added in the v2.0.1 patch. Most of the stuff here fixes bugs and adds personal preferences I wanted to add to the game. Here's the list:

-Added a flag that detects whether or not the player has seen Looxโ€™s fully inflated price on Lemonade in Section 2.

-Changed it so sparing a Section 2 enemy doesnโ€™t automatically fix the pitch lowering of the background music.

-Fixed a bug where the Froggit + Moldsmal encounter and the Triple Moldsmal encounter in the Ruins could be encountered infinitely.

Yeah, admittedly, not much was changed, but I felt like adding these three small things will make the game a more accurate and enjoyable experience when it comes to both the present and when future sections arrive.
