-Introduction-
Well, guess I did somethin' right. After about roughly a month of development, a playable, finished build of both Section 1 & Section 2 are done. There may be some bugs I missed, and some of the sprites may be meh in practice, but it's still playable, and I feel like that's an achievement (especially considering how many Undertale AUs/fangames have never gotten to that stage).
-The Plan Moving Forward-
Welp, I know what you're here for. The question that most are probably asking: Now that Sections 1 & 2 are finished, what's going on with Section 3? Well, despite my motivation and passion for the game as of current, development for Section 3 isn't going to be as fast as Sections 1 and 2 were (said development starting in Feburary of this year), and that's for a variety of reasons. First off, I am collaborating hugely with the main playtester of the game, @Vestaton
, to help me out with making the section, since he's more knowledgeable on what game Section 3 covers more than I am. Secondly, progress has resumed on an unofficial dub of The First Human, an Undertale AU webcomic, said dub I am the director of, so that's also going to take up some time. I have an idea for a minor alternate route or two I could add to fill the void in-between the initial release and Section 3, so hopefully that can bide me some extra time.
Development-wise, although this may be a strange move, once the alternative routes I have in mind are finished, I will be making Sections 3 and 4 at the same time. During Deltexperiment's development, Section 1's completion came by so fast that I thought it would be best to release both Section 1 and Section 2 at the same time. This time, the reason I'm doing it is because Section 3 is going to take a while because of the aforementioned cooperation, so I wanted to work on something with Deltexperiment when both the dub and Section 3 development are on cooldown (and Section 4 I can almost solo development on so it'll be pretty simple to make).

As shown with these numbers, I still have quite a while to go before anything major, like a new section, is added to the game. Most of the percentages in the alternate routes come from how much content is reused in Section 1. I'd say at least one of the alternate routes should be finished by mid-March, for which one I'm not so sure. I'll be focusing on the alternate routes for future progress updates until they're released, and then I'll shift the focus to Section 4 development (and add notes on Section 3 when anything crucial happens there).
In the meantime, uhh... go play v2.0.0! I doubt most have beaten it yet (considering it hasn't even been an hour since it dropped as of writing this), nor beaten both routes. I'll be surprised if someone manages to figure out all the conditions that trigger certain events before the next update drops (tried to make them sporadic so every run feels unique and personalized in a sense).
