We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the Aurum Demo. The next update will be the biggest when it comes to content, so be aware!
Update 1.8 Details
NEW HUDS! Huds will change color/pattern depending on the person involved. Victoria’s will be yellowish-orange, Blake’s will be dark blue, etc. This affects both field and battle.
Gold HUD has returned with a slight update.
Added Chapter Start/Chapter Complete scenes
Changed the way chickens move in the tutorial level.
Added a new Game Over screen.
Changed the way time works in-game. Time now opens certain shops between 8am and 8pm, in comparison to 8am and midnight. Each hour will change the tint of the screen, rather than only four times a day.
Changed the “choice” visuals. (I did not test this fully with multi-colored choices.)
Changed “Gold” to “Units”.
Enemy Radar shows 4 enemies now, rather than 6, in order to make it easier for the player to move around.
Upon finishing the Church Basement boss, all enemies will disappear from that area for a time, allowing safe passage out of that area.
Building information has been changed from outside to inside.
Updated second Splash Screen.
Added more observatory dialogue.
Added a third splash screen.
Changed the text font in the Save menu.
Tweaked enemy stats for leveling.
Deleted some unused files.
Added more secrets.
Added the door to the Ying Yang Club. Inaccessible by normal means.
Fixed a glitch with the Save Point changing colors if you access it from the left or right sides. (THIS WAS FORGOTTEN, CRUD)
NEW ERROR: the clock on the right-hand side is longer than it needs to be. I’ll fix this shortly.
IF YOU ARE IN FULL-SCREEN, DO NOT USE THE SCREEN SIZE SETTINGS IN THE MAIN MENU. It’ll lock you out of the full-screen until you return to normal size. Settings menu will be changed in the next update.
IF THE NEW TIME SYSTEM screws up specific event spawns, please let me know in the comments. It hasn’t been FULLY completely checked and rechecked, so there’s always the possibility of something happening. I’ll be testing it again tonight, and I’ll release any unnecessary patches to fix things in-the-now.
