Descrapped Update v0.17.0 | The Puppet


Introducing yet another addition to the roster! The Puppet!

When you choose the puppet, they will go to one of up-to Five pre-set locations in the map. There, they are in their Music Box with a timer counting down.

Letting the timer empty out will release the puppet from their box and they will start looking for you.

The puppet is fairly quick, so although it may be possible to last a few more minutes with them out, it will become much more difficult.

While The Puppet's Music Box is counting down, you are able to approach it and wind it up.

Simply walk up to it, Look at it, and hold E (or X on your Xbox Controller) to start winding it up!

Though you are able to choose up to 10 puppets, each map has a set maximum count to use. Which are:

Scrapped Maze: 5
Caverns: 3
Abandoned Pizzeria: 5

Along with the Puppet, the game has been given a bunch of Under-The-Hood updates!

  • Descrapped is now updated to Unreal Engine 4.27!

  • The AI spawn system has been completely rewritten and optimized!

A little camera system experiment that probably won't be making it into the game due to how characters like Golden Freddy act when in view of it. (Tripping their 'Recently Rendered' code and causing a jumpscare when on camera)
