Design is key

Our last post was about the artificial intelligence involved in the creation of Segment, now we would like to discuss the creative process for the visuals. The game development agencies that created Monument Valley and Fez obviously had a similar vision to us. Clean, clear and clever or at least we hope it will be. Hours and hours of research was put into learning the art of isometric design, it may look simple but the designs were not made using a 3D software, it was just Photoshop. If anyone would like any help concerning design or isometric design in particular, post a comment and we will get back to you!

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
