Dev Log #5

I have decided on a final name for the game which I will reveal when I release the game, or potentially at a later date so stay tuned

So as the development of the game starts to slow down a little bit as I stop polishing the game in time for a Demo/Full Release (Not sure if I’m gonna release a demo yet probably will) I’ve changed a few mechanics to give the game a more puzzle feel as up until now the puzzles were pretty straight forward in what you had to do

First off now the bullet the player shoots can briefly bounce against walls to reach places that you would not otherwise be able to reach

Also I’ve increased the timer on the power blocks just slightly as without it one of the later levels is way way harder so that happened, From now until release this will probably be polished up further as I am not yet fully happy with it

Secondly I’ve made pushing boxes way way way smoother than it use to be instead of being super jagged and a really glitchy way of not pushing into walls its now pixel perfect (Or atleast pixel perfecter? pixeler perfect? pixeler perfecter?)

The last mechanic I’d like to show off today is pretty neat if I say so myself, I’ve made it so that when you shoot at a portal it will be teleported to the portal that is connected with that portal (Basically the same way as the player does except instantly) This can make for some neat puzzle design I reckon although I’m not entirely sure if I am going to keep it yet

With all that out the way, I am currently working on the 11th level of the game and am still not ready to give an exact date on when I plan to release a demo or other type of version of the game but when I am I’ll likely tweet about it and make a post here, So until the next time. Byyyye
