Dev. update #22 - Only good news! (Bonus: Testinground & possible early demo date?)


Hello everyone!

As i write this, i just finished setting up another monitor on my desk for optimal development of SaH(well games in general).

I am finishing up the very last scriptlines and glitches that i will fix before the testinground, so i feel i can “guess” some dates that have been asked over and over again since the game’s GameJolt page came up.

The dates are guesswork(Not set completely official) and are possible if everything goes as planned and smooth.
Do NOT sit around and wait for the dates and expect them to be kept. As things have a habit of messing with me, i don’t want to promise anything.
just keep that in mind

First off, dates:
Testinground(s1r5) - Starting: 13/08-15 | Ending: 28/08-15
Alpha (Demo # 1) - Starting: ~14/09-15 or 21/09-15 (Unknown)
Testinground(s1r6) - Starting: 27/09-15 -> 25/09-15 lasting until: 25/10-15

Now.

Development info:

I am working on the savegame feature and it seems to be working perfectly.
Missing some settings and not everything you purchase gets stored.
things like locations(other than the player) doesn’t get stored anywhere at the moment

The loading feature is in place but you cannot load any saved games ingame yet.
not working 100% yet

I have now fixed several spawning points and repaired 99% of the game since that horrible setback of a virus. only thing missing now is he phone feature

I have set the date of 13th cause i have planned to spend all evening today and all day tomorrow to see if i can either fix or remake the phone feature for the testinground.
IF i cannot do it, i will have it ready for the demo(unless i need another testinground before the demo)

What else, oh yes!

The furniture(item) store now have 1 purchaseable item(for now as this is a testinground it will only be the features that is what stands in the spotlight)

One major “setback” that IS repairable easily which have occurred in this version, is the game music.
It’s not muteable and if you move around, the music gets “disformed?”

While the testinground is active the next weeks, i will be working on the game and be waiting for the testers feedbacks and improve the game.

I feel i have written enough for today, so here are the “good part”.

Here you can see the laptop is for sale(temporary 220 “money”)

In this picture you can see there is no laptop on the desktop, cause (the player) doesn’t own one.

Here you can see my new setup for development.(it might not be the best or perfect in any way, but it works for me) :)
I needed more resources/better setup & system to work faster and more intensively with the game; the coming time.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
