I've got good news regarding progress on Fantaji Scholars! Thanks to Blockbench and Cubik Pro (along with Blender), I'll be able to make voxel models for my game's characters. I've made these models before, but animating is still tricky for me atm.
Devlogs 1 and 2 - 5.4.2020 I made two sketches of concept art recently, each about 1 of the 12 party members you'll get ahold of during your adventure in Fantaji Scholars. Marly - Glass cannon Water Ranger Matthew - Fire-focused tank
Sorry for the lack of updates on the blog. I've been posting many of my updates on the Game Dev community. On the bright side, here's a screenshot of a voxel model I'm going to use for many of the feminine characters. <3
Hi, everyone! I've been having trouble with the development of my turn-based strategy, but I'm happy to announce that I'm setting it aside for now to work on a game I've REALLY wanted to make for a long time - a REAL-TIME strategy game set in Fantaji! <3
Devlog 1 - 5.3.2020 I just finished sketching the background artwork for the game's webpage. I'm going to outline it with Pigma Microns and then color them in traditionally over the week and update the background art accordingly. <3
Hello. I'm new to indie dev. and my first game's gonna be a Turn-Based RPG called Fantaji Scholars. It's early in dev. and I'm focusing on flushing out the game's structure and art while I'm learning how to code. Questions are appreciated. <3
I'm currently working on artwork that'll actually go in the game, not just on the website, etc., similar to the art for Sonny and Sonny 2 (RPG Flash games on Armor Games that inspired Fantaji Scholars). I'm using this image as a reference for stage 1.
