Developer Update: 3/25/2020 - The new Obstacle and new Remix Levels!

Hello all,

This week I will be telling you about two new parts of Smashbob: The instant death block and remix Levels.

The instant death blocks are pretty straight forward: they kill you if you touch them. A common complaint I get about Smashbob in its current state is there is no reason not to just rapid-fire smash through levels. Now, there will be more variation to the games pacing.

Remixes are far more interesting. When I was initially making many of the games levels, many new players found them far too hard, so I dumbed down the difficulty to give them a chance to learn the games ins and outs. Now, I am adding the original versions back into the later half of the game, providing an extra challenge to players who have mastered the mechanics.

I apologize for posting this two days late, I was playing DOOM Eternal.

Cheers,

Jacob Snyder

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
