Development Log #5


In this current version there is now a working build of the game that is.. somewhat playable. But there are also some changes.


One of the big changes is the way the camera system worked. It used to previously be a fixed camera that shows the entire map at once.
Now it has been changed to a camera that somewhat accurately follows the Δx (delta x) of the two players.

This will be useful further on in development as maps will get gradually larger.


Some of the smaller changes include stat changes in weapons:

  • Sword has been nerfed from 50dp to 20dp

  • Fist has been buffed from 10dp to 15dp along with a 5% movement buff.
    And last but not least, the fire pit now does damage to the player.

Development Log #1 So far this game looks… mediocre at best, but there’s walking and jumping finished, along with some custom physics goodness! Edit: Oh yeah, there’s an amazing jump animation!
