A: Yes, I want to collect extra lives that allow me to continue from a checkpoint within a level as long as I have any.
This would allow for a more old-school experience and the joy of finding hidden extra lives, but would make the game more difficult.
B: No, I want to be able to continue from the checkpoint no matter what. I’d have an easier time and not have to experience the frustration of having to retry a level from scratch once I run out of extra lives. I’ll gladly trade in the classic feel of the extra life resource.
(Difficulty setting is up for debate, might depend on how polarizing the results are.)
