Development Progress #1: Sounds and Characters


Hello! I just wanted to make this post to explain the progress of the development.

But first I wanted to thank everyone because... we reached 100 followers on the page in the first 3 days!

This is a new record for me haha.

Now talking about important things...


1- Change in sound management in the game.


This is a bit short, but basically yesterday and the day before yesterday I decided to modify the game's sound system. This was done to fix a bug where sometimes there were sound errors, luckily I already corrected it!


2- Characters.


I'll be direct and make it clear....

THERE WILL BE 20 CHARACTERS IN THE GAME!

For now, I can only talk about Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy since they are the only ones I revealed. (I'm not going to ruin the surprises haha)

What I can say is that I'm close to finishing half of the characters!

I decided to nerf Freddy and Bonnie. Now instead of going into the hallways when they are blocked by the doors, they now go to the Dining Area!

This change was made to nerf them and prevent cases where for example Freddy attacks 15 times in a row!

By the way, in this game I decided that the characters will have a non-linear movement pattern, you might wonder what I mean by this? Characters can move to multiple rooms without a predefined pattern. An example could be that Freddy can move from the Dining Area to the hallway directly and other times go to the Bathrooms and then to the hallway or go to the kitchen and then go to the hallway! (Don't worry, because of how I programmed this system, it is more common for characters to go to the office than to wander around the pizzeria doing nothing.)

This is something I reused from the original FNAF 1 and I think it's something that made the animatronics seem more "alive" and "menacing"!


Now I ask all of you, who do you think the 16 unlockable characters are?
