Development status on NEW Smash Ringtail Cat!

Been a while, but I've got an exciting status update about my next game project, NEW Smash Ringtail Cat.

I am happy to say that the levels are 99% finished! I just gotta touch up some parts of the last act, make some save points, add a load game screen and some minor adjustments and I'm set with the development portion for the game! After finishing those things up, I will record gameplay for a new teaser trailer, which I'm hoping to release this month at the earliest, and afterwards it's cutscene time!

The cutscenes are gonna take up most of spring, and I'm also planning on releasing the game for a Summer 2023 release. I also don't want to get too far ahead of myself but I want to try to aim for this game to release on the series' 5-year anniversary which is August 17th.

I also want to try and do more with the replay value with this project, and not focus too much on adding content in major update patches with the game. As you might know I have added a new ranking system which I'm gonna try to expand on the idea a bit more, like making a level select feature for those of you, who are completionists, can beat the game 100%. Maybe 100% the game can give you a secret ending to the game after the final boss fight or something like that.

TL;DR - the gameplay portion of the game is near finished, I just gotta work on expanding ideas further to add some form of replay value and then work on cutscenes this spring.

Also just a side note, I got a storyboard notebook for Christmas this past year and have been sketching out some story board cutscenes during my spare time. If you guys would like to see some progress, let me know. I also don't know how you guys would feel about this, but I'm planning on setting this game to "name your price" at release just because I've seem to be getting better with my graphics for the game.

That's all for now!
