Development Update — HOMESICKNESS

Hello Game Jolters!

Here's a post that's been a bit overdue. HOMESICKNESS is still being developed, and it is my primary project. It's just a bit of a big task for me at times, compared to other personal projects I want to develop later on and projects I am still planning out.

I've had more passion for original projects and less of a big focus on fangame stuff. So that passion will be spent on this game. It is still a main priority, and I aim to have it out before May of next year.

The game is still set to come out on itch.io, and I am currently in the process of figuring out how I'm going to go about development there. Everything has been smooth, if a bit slow, as it's primarily me developing the game. It takes a while, and sometimes I need to take a break from game development overall or switch my attention to a different project to refresh. But this is still something I am working on, and it is a main project I aim to have out as soon as I can, trying to improve every bit of it based on my limitations as a solo developer.

As a way to showcase the progress the game has made over the past couple of months, I wanted to share a brief gameplay video (above). It's not everything I could show, but I want to slowly reveal more over time.

I'll be posting more about the game here but also on my Twitter/X account, if you'd like to follow me there to check up on updates. I also plan to expand to other platforms to get the game more exposure, but we'll see how that goes. I still have a lot to plan, and sometimes it feels overwhelming, but I’m actively working on it.
