Devlog 0 - Animatronic Data Repair's Full Game Development Plans

Read below for more details!

On a scale of 1/3 this article is a 1, meaning it's not really important.

Thank you all so much for following along with the game's development so far!

Now that I've fixed a lot of the game's bugs and even made a couple of changes, I think it's safe to say that I'm now at a point in the game's development where I don't need to worry about any game-breaking bugs that will impede on the full game’s development.

However, there is one more bug fix update that I want to make to the demo before I put my focus on the full game and the full game only.

In the article I wrote on February 9th, I mentioned that I temporarily paused the full game's development plans since I wanted to focus on fixing any bugs that I found or were mentioned to me.

Today, I finally went back into the Google Doc that I started writing on June 14th, and I began to continue on where I left off.

I also mentioned in that article that I wasn't too sure if this was the right approach to writing a video game's story. But if it isn't the right way, then screw it, ‘cause I'm already too far in to just drop and change it.

The game's story is 9 1/2 pages long so far, and I haven't even written up to the first night yet. Which is kind of worrying 'cause I don't know how long this story's going to be since whenever I write something, I drag it on until the story's longer than War and Peace.

But don't worry! After I finish writing the game's story, I'll compress it all in a way where I'll know exactly how I want to execute it. Starting with the game's scripts and some storyboards so I know how I want things to turn out.

After the game's story is complete, the scripts are written, and the storyboards are made, I'll start back at level 0. I'll slowly delete every file that has to do with the game's demo off of my computer. However, I'll be leaving the very important files so I can continue to update the game and fix any bugs that I end up finding.

I'll begin to remodel every single animatronic, every single location inside of the pizzeria, make a couple of 8bit designs, and begin to code the full game.

I'm probably looking way too far into the future, since the game's story would probably be finished in a couple of days if I were to just write and write for days and days on end.

But one thing you should be looking forward to is more content on my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9-RUHeEi9DJ1lfogWgZwLw).

I have something planned.
