DEVLOG 01: Updates, Game Progress, and Early Looks!

Hey everyone! Hacky with Mad Rabbit Studios here, and I'm here to tell you that NO, this game is not dead and has gotten enough progress done to start the devlog process. Let's begin:

DEVELOPER UPDATE:

I'll make this section quick because I know literally nobody asked about where I've been, and most followers probably forgot about the game in the first place. I've said this before and I'll say it again for reassurance, this game is currently a one-man-team. I've been busy finishing up school work and high school, but after working with that and taking a bit of a break, I'm in a point of my life where I'm passionate about this project again and can start getting a lot of work done. Expect more of these in the future and throughout the summer!

EARLY LOOKS:

Ok let's be real, you probably clicked this article to see early screenshots of the game, not read paragraphs on boring developer stuff. Look no further, and enjoy some early *looks at 'Forsaken Franchise':

Of course, there is SO much more scenes that have yet to be revealed, but I really want to save all of the exciting stuff for first time playthroughs; I don't want to spoil everything. This game is content packed, and I think this game's experience will work best when people play it blind. So, while there is so much more than being shown, some of those will just have to wait until release to be revealed...

*Footage shown is from early stages of development. Elements may change in the final version of the game.

GAME PROGRESS

Because I'm being pretty vauge on what I'm choosing to reveal gameplay-wise, I think it's only fitting I show the exact progress on the entire game in all of it's parts. Here's a rough estimate on the total game progress:

General Gameplay Mechanics: 95%

Animatronic AI: 45% (4/9 Animatronics Done)

Gameplay Animations: 70%

Gameplay Renders: 85%

Cutscenes: 0% (In concept phase)

Other (Title Screen, Game Over Screens, etc.): 0% (In concept phase)

I hope that gives everyone a good understanding on the game's current state. Again, development is progressing, slowly but surely. For reference, I rendered about 150 individual frames and renders, coded in all of the animatronics done so far, designed solid game audio for the basic gameplay loop, and tweaked them all to perfection....all within the last week and a half. So yes, development is happening.

That's all from me. Sorry again for the wait between updates! Life got busy, but we are so back, and I love seeing this game grow in development every day. Follow for more updates!

Next up

While there's still some work that needs to be done, I'm happy to say most of the visuals and animations for the game are finished; finished enough to move on to the coding very soon!

"Just don't use everything all at once. The power in this place is...faulty. T'would be a shame if you were to run out and left completely defenseless..."

just a little something I'm working on...

We haven't reached 300 yet but I couldn't wait to post this, so here it is!

Remembering that all models will be in a model pack as soon as the game comes out!!
