Hello! It's been a while since I wrote one of these, FNaTI 1.0 has gone through several versions and is in the outmost definition of Hell. I think it's safe time to say we have made much better progress than ever. Through general story writing, actual development, gameplay, and the many graphical improvements. We finally might be getting somewhere.
Modeling/Graphics
The Modeling of the game has nearly been finished. The main five-night graphics are underway, not to mention the stand-out drastically improved atmosphere and graphics that top the others. The map of the game is pretty much done! Until some basic testing and coding are finished, we can move on to modeling and animation. Yes, there will be an updated Pirate Caverns. There will also be some new Mechanics that will yet to be seen that I think is very unique.
Programming
Programming has been at a medium pace. Another coder is working hard on River Country which is yet to be released. FNaTI 1.0 is slowly being into code since I wanted to experiment more with my coding experience and knowledge. It is safe to say that the game's progress in programming is pretty good for the most part. It is still in early development because most of the game is mainly under a Beta Test/Debug Zone. Making sure every aspect of the game is working and/or perfected. Such as the Camera system, AI, Menu, API, and etc. Soon various other intense coding and experimentals shall be implemented in the final product.
Story/Writing
I wanted to revamp the game's story by a lot. Mainly just because I felt a bit stumped and unsatisfied with what I had. Especially with past versions. Through various feedback and retellings and such. The Story of 1.0 might be drastically different. I plan for this game to feature more on Psychological Horror and Atmosphere. Along with a more familiar villain taking on a much more malicious role in the island, and the character's lore being altered. Making 1.0 a bit more darker than originally planned.
That is everything to share for today! Happy Thanksgiving! Because I love holidays and teasers, there is not only a code somewhere hidden in this devlog, but here is a couple of images:
