Devlog 1: More Waves Coming Soon (0.3.0)

Like I said before, I actually made this game before I had much experience making games, so needless to say there are a bunch of problems in my way if I want to make this into something fun. One of these problems is the way I made the waves work. There was a reason I only had three waves: I made the waves super hard to create. Basically I had predefined paths for the enemies to take, and I had predefined timelines of when to spawn each indavidual enemy and its strength. Within the GameMaker: Studio IDE, this was really hard to do. Long story short, I rewrote the whole system, so now I can make waves really easily. I can also displace enemy paths like this:

Anyways, in the future I will make a bunch more balanced waves. Right now I have just arbitrary waves that aren’t balanced at all. I was able to beat my new levels with 13 lives left:

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
