Devlog 1 - The (ACTUAL) Beginning

Henlo, v0rtex here.

So imma actually start making proper devlogs of the game this time around so I don't end up leaving everybody in the dark about it's development like last time.

So far I've currently made a test level to... well... test the games mechanics like power-ups, collectables, enemies, and other such things. But for some reason there's a problem with the way I had to add in the jumping that makes it so if you hold the way you were going into a wall when jumping, you'll stick to the wall. I was thinking about possibly making this a part of the game.

Yet for some reason, after I added a health bar, it does actually work, but it wont follow the player. Just goes off screen like it has better things to do

But this week I plan to at least get most of the mechanics of the game put into place (broken or not, we're gonna find out), and possibly even make one level (maybe not but still it's a possibility.)

See y'all in the next devlog, if I don't abandon this project again, that is

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa MarĂa Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Hey you, rookie! Yes, I am talking to you!! Come over here? Relax! Just stick to me and everything will be fine. By the way, my name is James Varhuher, but you can call me Big J. I will bring you up to speed.
