Devlog 1: The Journey Begins

Hey guys, Kevin here! It’s been a hot second since I’ve made a post here in GameJolt. I wanted to show off my current project, “Baby Tooth”! This is a 2D RPG. I’ve been trying to get this project off the ground since 2017, but I could never get it right. I knew I wanted to build my RPG fight system from the ground up and not use something like RPG Maker.

An attempt from 2017 in Soul To Keep (2017)

Another RPG I tried making in 2017 called "Darkness Scares Me" Which later became "Freakshow!".

Here's a second go in 2020!

I’ve been working on it for a few months at this point! Building a solid base to keep making my dream RPG.

So far I’ve gotten:

  • the battle system (the base to implement future fights with ease!)

  • The save system (you’ll be able to have 3 save slots to try out different weapons, challenges, or difficulties!)

I wanted to open this page early to show off the game and get feedback from the community!

More news soon!

Bork!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
