Hey there, GameJolt explorers!
It’s Kuba again, your trusty (and often overworked) one-person dev “studio” behind Guppy’s Mystery. Believe it or not, I’m not sitting at my computer 24/7 (shocking, I know). Between holding down a day job, trying to pass my driving test (I’m hoping cars handle better than game physics), and making time for this passion project, let’s just say my free hours are in short supply.
Still, whenever life gives me a spare moment—be it a coffee break or a late-night bout of inspiration—I jump back into Unreal Engine. Lately, I’ve been working on some 3D models, tinkering with textures, and attempting to make everything look less like random blocks. Progress is slow but steady
What’s next on the to-do list?
Finish those models: Because 90% done is basically 50% done in game dev, am I right?
Unreal Engine practice: Nothing screams ‘pro dev’ like frantically Googling error messages at 2 AM.
Show-and-tell time: Once I’m not totally embarrassed by my creations, I’ll share some screenshots so you can see the magic (and occasional madness).
And hey, I want to hear from you! If you’ve got feedback, wild ideas, or just want to say “Kuba, step away from the coffee machine,” feel free to drop a comment below. Suggestions are always welcome—just remember I’m only one person, so I can’t guarantee your pet goldfish cameo will make it into the final game… but I’ll consider it!
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more updates. It might be a bumpy ride (especially with me behind the virtual—and soon real—wheel), but Guppy’s Mystery is inching ever closer to reality. Catch you in the next post!
